The soul of the samurai is mirrored in the Cherry Blossom; a bloom whose depth of magnificent beauty is balanced against its short and fleeting existence. The Samurai likened themselves to the Cherry blossoms and though their lives would be short they would awe those who witnessed them with their martial mastery and great deeds that would being honor to themselves and their lord. This katana features these blossoms on its saya scabbard and on the tsuba guard in fine detailing. The blade is forged from sharpened and tempered 1045 high carbon steel and the tsuba, fuchi and kashira hilt fittings are of antiqued cast metal. The wooden grip has panels of faux rayskin which is bound in knotted tsuka ito cord.
The scabbard is wood with a black sageo cord and the sword is completed with a cloth sword bag and an included table display stand.
