The Tewkesbury Longsword has an unsharpened blade forged of EN45 high carbon steel. The crossguard and pommel are mild steel; the crossguard is perforated with medieval crosses and the cross is forged into the side of the pommel on a single side. The shaped grip is wood, overlaid with black leather.
The wood core scabbard is finished with a wrap of stitched black leather and a blued steel chape and locket.
The broad blade of this longsword ensures it strikes with great force and its fuller reduces the weight of the blade by furrowing its thickest portions whilst losing little in durability.
