The Reaper is a particularly impactful modern Khukuri style sword. The thick-spined blade is crafted from 1095 high carbon steel which was tempered to a hardness of 59 HRC. The blade has been left rough-polished to give it a rough and slightly iridescent appearance. The grip is formed from two brass-riveted halves of black linen micarta fitted to the thick blade tang. The sword comes with a stitched black leather sheath with an integrated belt loop.

With its forward-sloping Kukuri style blade and thick blade spine the Reaper is a stoutly constructed and vicious chopping sword. The hefty blade will make a mockery of most proper cutting targets.

Please Note: It is common for this item to to now have a sheath which is constructed with rivets instead of stitching. Please be aware that you may receive a sheath with riveted construction.

Handmade Treasure! Chris hand makes EVERY sword he sells, these are NOT mass-produced guys/girls! This sword could probably cut a tree down better than an axe. If you’re looking for a hardcore, handmade sword…..not to mention 1095 Steel…..this is THE one!

I have a few items from Scorpion. All are EXTREMELY heavy duty, including this item. The only negative, and it might be a BIG NEGATIVE for you, is that every item I’ve ordered from Scorpion comes with a VERY convex edge. It’s more like the edge on a splitting maul than a sword or a knife. I also own ‘The Commando’ knife and it’s edge wasn’t sharp enough to cut the skin on my hand after dragging the blade across it. It has an edge similar to a dull axe. I had to spend a total of 4 hours to completely reprofile the edge geometry to enable it to even cut rope. Just be aware- if you buy anything from Scorpion, it’ll be extremely tough and very well built, but very dull.
