Roman Brass Plated Belt - Deepeeka
The Roman military belt was needed to help hold the weight of a soldiers armor, particularly the chainmail Lorica Hamata, to keep some of the weight off his shoulders during a long march. It also was used to suspend his Pugio dagger sidearm. This Roman belt, made by Deepeeka, is made of leather and is adorned with riveted brass plates. A brass buckle is used to adjust its length.

A touch of Rome The Roman Brass Plated Belt is truly well made. It is of good quality heavy leather with nice size brass plates riveted in place. The rivets are burnished nicely so the belt won’t damage whatever is worn beneath it. I’ve hung my pogio from it and wear it over my leather cuirass and couldn’t be more pleased. The look is distinctly Roman which is…of course…why I ordered it. It didn’t disappoint.
