Holiday Happiness, Supply Chain Pain and Shippageddon

The supply chain is now supply pain, and issues – starting at the manufacturers, moving to the ports, and finishing with the carriers (FedEx, UPS and USPS), mean that normal cut-offs for our customers to place an order and reasonably expect delivery by a holiday are earlier than usual.

These dates are guidelines, as once we ship an item, we do not have control over a carrier’s delivery time. For regular shipping domestically in the continental US, we have built in a 3-5 day shipping estimate to the dates below for Halloween and a 3-10 day shipping estimate for Christmas.

All of these dates exclude orders that include a sharpening service, where you should add an additional 5-10 days, and all estimates assume that you choose regular delivery.

For Halloween, an order of

  • an instock item must be placed by October 19th in order to expect delivery by the 31st.
  • a usually ships item must be placed by October 14th in order to reasonably expect delivery by the 31st.

For Christmas delivery, an order of

  • an instock item must be placed by December 8th
  • a usually ships item must be placed by December 1st

We are dedicating additional time to stay in touch with our suppliers to maintain accurate expectations of usually ships items – however, this timing is an estimate and delays in the supply chain are occurring regularly.

We apologize for these early cut-offs and uncertainty, but “business as usual” is not predictable this year.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
