Often paired together
You would think that this wouldn’t be able to hold up a sword through the sheer friction of leather on brass, but you’d be wrong! It’s a very simple design (no buckles) but it looks great, functions great, and adds a striking touch to my late Roman kit. I got it alongside the 2nd Century Spatha and the two are a great combination. My only gripe is that the leather is much paler and less polished than depicted in the image. I imagine it wouldn’t be too difficult to DIY that after purchasing it, though. I have no idea what to do with the additional medallion it comes with, but it’s a neat addition!
