Albrun – Wool Sideless Surcoat Dress – Red

This Medieval Sideless Surcoat Dress is crafted from blended wool fabric and is meant to be worn over an underdress for a complete Medieval outfit. Surcoat dresses began to be worn by women in the 13th century and their exposure of the hips of the underdress was considered risqufor the times. A common and iconic fashion of the High Middle Ages, they would be worn well into the 16th century Renaissance, though typically worn only in the most formal of settings by that late period.
