Hanwei Original Tori Elite Katana
The Tori katana combines truly elegant furniture and a powder-steel folded blade with the functionality of Hanwei's Performance Series. The Tori features a ''Flying Crane'' themed Tsuba and Fuchi/Kashira while the Menuki are Kabuto or Japanese helmets. The high quality brown leather Tsuka-ito is wrapped over black Same. The Saya is wrapped at the mouth with black-lacquered rattan and then finished in a textured brown. Includes a sword bag and traditional mantenance kit.

Master sword smith Paul Chen created Hanwei Swords and led the early industry by creating authentic handmade swords of the highest grade steel over the last several decades. A favorite amongst the industry, the original Hanwei factory suffered from a fire and ownership changes. In 2025, the factory closed and original collaborator Frenchie Jin’s forge (Dragon King / Kingston Arms) has taken over, improving and reintroducing past models. The reinvented Hanwei focuses primarily on Japanese and Chinese models, including the Performance Series Katana. Many of the original European models are now adopted as part of the Kingston Arms line.

Pretty wall hanger So I dropped mine from a distance of maybe five feet and it BENT …. What else can I say .
In response to Mr.Duped NOTE: katanas will bend! It’s the proper application of a katana that makes it so exceptional in its ability to cut. Katanas have a hard edge with a softer spine and this means they will bend if improperly handled. I don’t think you have been duped but simply not informed. Learn how to bend it back, you still have a great sword!
Exceptional This blade is beautiful, well balanced, and functions well in one or both hands. The leather wrap is very comfortable and has a very nice contrast in natural light between it and the blackened same. I have yet to cut with it from fear of scratches, but for forms it has behaved far better than I anticipated.
