Laconia Hoplon Shield - Deepeeka
The Laconia Hoplon Shield is crafted from Poplar wood which has been overlaid with a linen binding before being a hand-painted for a finish. A large arm support strap of leather is riveted to the reverse of the shield and the argive grip is braided cord threaded through riveted brass supports.

Greeek Hoplon Shield I am well pleased with this shield as far as design and looks go, especially for the price.
I am not wild about the “argive” grip.
Be aware the rings are not brazed together at the ends and can slip off their retainers if not aligned properly.
This was the only reasonably priced hoplon I could find, but it is really well made. I didn’t care for the Spartan Chevron design, so I painted over it with spray paint and acrylics. The shipping was a bit slow, but overall I consider it money well spent.
