I have ordered this twice, and was happy to see the quality increased significantly. The first one I bought was good for the money — solid, functional, with an overly thin ring for the bayonet, and a sheath that was a smooth, supple, saggy, thin, and quickly-done job, slathered with black dye (like the one pictured). I decided to order two more some time later (and had to wait for them to get in stock for over a year), and was pleasantly shocked to see the quality had increased – now the ring was hefty and solid, and the sheathes were a beautiful, grained, stiff and thick stitched leather which arched out in such a way not to even have contact with the blade; I’m not sure if they are all like this now, or if this was KOA’s way of rewarding patience. Whatever the case, both orders good for the money. The only downside (which is consistent with the price) is the cap of the sheath is in two pieces: a sock with a ball-end ingloriously welded to it. But, at this price, and for the other changes, this is practically nothing.
