Roman Legionary Belt - Lord of Battles
This Roman Legionary Balteus is crafted from robust 8-9 oz leather; a brass buckle adjusts the belt to size and the tassets are thoroughly embellished with solid, antiqued brass laurel-leaf medallions.
Although the Roman Legionary wore an embellished belt as part of his wargear, it was not merely decorative; the Balteus would serve as an anchor point for a Pugio dagger and also aided in supporting the weight of his armor.
